The Week of Nov. 8-14
The scores for Test 2 were posted to Blackboard late Tuesday afternoon. Blackboard had some technical problems that kept me from posting the scores earlier. Because of that, make sure the score shown in grade section of Blackboard matches what is shown on your error analysis. I want to make sure all of your scores merged into Blackboard correctly.
Based on the the results I saw, some of you did very well but some of you had problems. If this is the second bad score for you, now is the time to get in the game and figure out what changes are needed. It is not too late to pull out a decent grade in this course but it won't be easy. If you have not done so already, please come see me if you are worried about passing the course. Maybe there is something I can say that could help you identify the problem. The good news is that since we have Test 3 and the Final left to take, only one of the previous test scores has to count towards your final grade. The bad news is that if you do not identify and solve the problem, you probably won't score much better on Test 3 and the Final.
In class on Tuesday we will finish discussing the consumer search process. The topic after that has some of the most difficult material in the course. It is about "consumer choice heuristics" (how consumers decide between brands). Since I explain that topic using math, it is something you probably want to hear in person so you can understand it well enough to correctly work the math problems that will be on the test. Be sure to bring your syllabus because it has a page with the math I will be explaining.
